SOFT is a self-funded I.R.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization incorporated in the state of Utah in 1980. SOFT has helped families for over three decades and is recognized as a primary source of information about trisomy 18 and 13, and is linked to many governemt (“.gov”) and hospital sites. A donation to help SOFT continue supporting families would be most appreciated and a receipt will be provided for your tax filing. SOFT is an all-volunteer organization that does not provide a salary to anyone. Donations are used to cover costs for:
- printing and mailing welcome packets and newsletters
- maintaining the SOFT Website
- research studies related to trisomy conditions
- annual conference costs
- small scholarships to families needing help to attend a conference, through the Joey Watson Fund
- printing of books about trisomy 18 and 13
